Therapy for Burnout & Exhaustion in Ohio

For adults who appear capable and successful, but for whom maintaining that level of functioning has become exhausting.

Capable on the outside, exhausted underneath

You can look capable on the outside and still be using an enormous amount of energy just to keep up. Many of the adults Amy works with are organized, accomplished, and dependable—while privately feeling overwhelmed, inconsistent, or unsure why ordinary tasks require so much effort.

Burnout can develop after years of compensating, overfunctioning, and pushing through. Therapy is a place to understand what is happening beneath the surface.

Who this is for

Adults 18+ located in Ohio who feel the exhaustion of holding everything together. For some people, burnout is connected to ADHD that was overlooked or heavily masked; for others it overlaps with anxiety, trauma, mood changes, hormonal shifts, or a nervous system that has spent too long in survival mode. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or already know what is causing your symptoms. Part of the work may be identifying the patterns beneath what you have been experiencing.

What to expect

Amy brings warmth, curiosity, honesty, and humor into the therapy room. She is conversational and direct, and the focus is on changes that are realistic for your actual life.

Amy uses an integrative, trauma-informed approach that is tailored to the person, not a rigid method. Depending on your needs, your work together may draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. The methods matter, but so does the relationship. Amy wants you to understand why you are doing something, how it connects to your goals, and whether it is genuinely helping.
