TRAUMA-INFORMED CARE · CLINICAL TRAUMA PROFESSIONAL

Trauma & PTSD Therapy in Ohio

Trauma-informed support for PTSD and for the effects of spending too long in survival mode, with a Licensed Independent Social Worker who is also a Clinical Trauma Professional (CTP).

When survival mode becomes the default

Trauma can shape how you think, feel, relate to others, and get through the day—sometimes long after the events themselves. A nervous system that has spent too long in survival mode can leave you exhausted, on alert, or working very hard to hold everything together.

Amy offers trauma-informed support for PTSD and for the effects of spending too long in survival mode. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio and a Clinical Trauma Professional (CTP).

Who this is for

Adults 18+ located in Ohio who are living with PTSD or the effects of trauma, including people who also notice anxiety, mood changes, burnout, or ADHD in the mix. Amy is deeply interested in the ways these experiences intersect. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or already know what is causing your symptoms. Part of the work may be identifying the patterns beneath what you have been experiencing.

What to expect

Amy’s whole approach is trauma-informed and tailored to the person rather than following a rigid method. She brings warmth, curiosity, honesty, and humor, and she wants therapy to feel like a place where you can speak freely and understand yourself more clearly.

Amy uses an integrative, trauma-informed approach that is tailored to the person, not a rigid method. Depending on your needs, your work together may draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. The methods matter, but so does the relationship. Amy wants you to understand why you are doing something, how it connects to your goals, and whether it is genuinely helping.

Music and movement have long influenced how Amy understands emotion, connection, and self-expression. Her background in dance, coaching, and choreography shapes the creativity and flexibility she brings to clinical work—particularly when traditional ways of explaining or processing emotions don’t quite fit.
